Steven, we're back !(We didn't have any internet access most of the week).
Sleeping in tents the whole way, getting up early and riding average 80 miles each day in 37-80deg.F weather was pretty tough, but we had a verry good time. The hills DID slow us down, but so did the beautiful country side scenery ! No problem because we were able to make up time on the downhills, you know how fast tandems are on the downhills :-)
Pretty tired, need some onsen to relax myself !

Have fun at Cycle Oregon! Should be a great week of riding some awesome "car free" cycling roads. Don't let the hills slow you down too much. がんばれ！！！
オレゴンですか。何でも海岸線は妙に日本に似ているという話もあるので、一度は行ってみたいです。
ちなみにあたしゃオレゴンと言うと、「ゴルゴ13」の『蟷螂の斧』に出てくる百姓・藤堂を思い出してしまうジジイです(^^;
＃一応追記：あたしゃ「百姓」は差別用語とうは思っていない、ちゅーか自分自身を百姓だと思っているんですが今は会社勧進、哀ぴい(T_T

みなみさん、今回は内陸の山岳地帯（？）を走ってきました。「農村」というとイメージが違いますが、放牧、穀物エレベーター、地平線、そんな言葉が似合うエリアも満喫できました。
